"추억" - Part XV

FIRST LOVE

Since Alifa was joining the dance club, Jonghyun rarely could be seen with the rest on their recess time. Alifa was always there with the others and probably, Jonghyun was too shy to come near her. So, he hide himself in the garden, enjoying the smell of the bloom flowers. He still confused with his feelings towards the new girl in their school. He wasn’t sure if he likes her or not. But everytime she made a moves in the club, Jonghyun’s cheek would be red and his heart would thumping like crazy. His eyes couldn’t let her go. Yes, she was a good dancer and that’s why sometimes the teacher would pair them up together as partner since Jonghyun also was a good dancer. They rarely talked each other. As partner, they never interacted except for harmonizing the steps.

Everytime Jonghyun held Alifa’s hands or waist for the dance steps, his heart seemed like it wanted to burst out from its place. He kept replaying Alifa’s smile on his head when they met for the 1^st time. It was indeed so beautiful to him and it made him gone crazy. Now that they became so close like that – Jonghyun could hold her – made him crazier as he smelled her sweet fragrance. Changhyun noticed that his friend might be falling in love with Alifa.

“So, have you reconciled with Byunghun??”, Alifa asked Yoori as they sat on the canteen with Yoomi and Sina. The boys didn’t join them yet.

“Well.. It’s hard”, Yoori said.

“C’mon, Yoori. It’s been months. You can get him back since he also still loves you”, Yoomi spoke up.

“Yes!! Both of you are stubborn enough!! None of you want to settle things first”, Sina added.

“But –“

“Hey, honey!”, Minsoo sat beside Yoomi as he kissed Yoomi’s cheek – cut Yoori from speaking.

“Aish~!! You cut her!!”, Yoomi protested – shoved Minsoo away.

“Hahahaha.. That’s okay. Thank you for coming in time, Minsoo”, Yoori said.

“My Sina!”, Niel also joined them – sat beside Sina as he put his hand on Sina’s shoulder just to pull her closer to him.

“YA!! ALL OF YOU SHOULD GET A ROOM!!”, Byunghun protested as he – innocently – sat beside Yoori.

All of them smirked since both Yoori and Byunghun didn’t notice that they were sitting side by side. Yoomi then talked to Minsoo to make Yoori and Byunghun could talk each other. Sina got the signal from Yoomi and she turned Niel’s attention to her as Niel was busy talking with Byunghun. Alifa also got the signal and she talked with Chanhee and Changhyun, leaving Byunghun and Yoori alone. At that time, Jonghyun suddenly joined them and talked to Byunghun. Since Alifa was the nearest one to Jonghyun, she turned Jonghyun’s body to talk to her. Again, Jonghyun’s face became red as tomato.

“Uhh..”, Byunghun confused. “Yoo—Yoori?”, he called her.

“O—oh?”, she replied him awkwardly.

“Ho—how was yo—your day?!”

“I’m good, Byunghun. You?!”

“Yeah. Me too. Except the fact that I miss you so much”, he made sure that he didn’t tell her the last part loudly.

“Huh?! You what?!”, she heard him.

“Aniya..”

Yoomi and Minsoo could hear them clearly and they wanted to punch Byunghun. “HE MISSES YOU, YOORI”, Minsoo told Yoori bluntly, made Byunghun choked on his drink. Yoori’s face became red – same as Jonghyun – and she felt hot suddenly. She faked a cough as she kept fanning herself with her hand. Byunghun’s face also became red as he muttered something to Minsoo.

However, Sina’s attention didn’t go to Yoori and Byunghun but to Jonghyun and Alifa. They looked so awkward but at least Alifa still looked happy talking with him while Jonghyun kept hiding his red face from her. Niel also noticed the same thing and both of them made a smirk, to be specific, they made an evil gaze. Jonghyun must be falling in love with Alifa. It meant that they would have double works to do here – 1^st to make Yoori and Byunghun back as couple and 2^nd to make Jonghyun closed enough to Alifa to make them as a new couple there.

Meanwhile Yoomi and Minsoo were busy on helping Byunghun and Yoori, Sina and Niel were busy on spying Jonghyun. They really wanted to know if Jonghyun really liked Alifa, so they made a scene where both of them met accidentally in the garden. Sina texted Alifa to come to the school’s garden on their recess time as she typed that she wanted to tell her something important. Alifa, who read the message, really did it. Unfortunately, Jonghyun wasn’t there since he joined the others in the canteen.

“OMO!! Jonghyun-ah!! I think I left my phone in the garden!! Could you please get it for me?! I need to see Sina noona in her class since she didn’t feel good since this morning”, Niel faked a story.

“Aish! You always clumsy, hyung!! Okay, I’ll get it for you!!”, Jonghyun said as he stood up.

Niel then sneaked inside the part of the garden to meet Sina, who was already there. They could see Alifa sat on the bench where Jonghyun usually took a nap there. She had this annoying face – still expecting Sina to come. Then, she heard something closer to her. She thought it was Sina. She turned her face and smiled. DHUG! Jonghyun’s face became red in an instant. He saw that smile again. His knees became weak and he fell into the ground, made Alifa shocked.

“OMO!!  Are you okay, Jonghyun?!”, she helped him up.

“Uhh.. Ye—yeah, su—sun—sunbae. Sorry”

“No need to be sorry. I thought you are Sina”

“Sina noona??”, he smelled something wrong.

“Yeah, she told me to come here since she has something to tell me but she is nowhere to be seen!!”, Alifa pouted and it made Jonghyun’s heart gone crazy.

“WHAT?! I thou—I thought—I thou—AH!! NIEL HYUNG!!!”

Not far from them, both Sina and Niel high-fived each other as they got a jackpot. They went out from the garden and ran to the canteen to tell the others about this. Choi Jonghyun, you BUSTED!!

“Ah, Jonghyun likes Alifa noona?! I knew it”, Changhyun said calmly as he dug on his food.

“AND YOU DIDN’T TELL US?!”, Sina and Niel yelled in unison – they could only find Changhyun.

“Well, I’m not sure though!!”

“PABO!! It’s obvious, pabo!!”, Niel and Sina hit his head. “YOU KNEW WHAT JONGHYUN WILL BECOME WHEN HE FALLS IN LOVE, PABO!!!”, Niel continued.

“HYUNG!!! Alifa noona is his first love if it’s true!!! So, I’m still not sure!!! He said that himself but we never saw it, right?!”

“It’s because he never liked someone seriously like this time!!”

They argued each other until they spotted Jonghyun and Alifa went in to the canteen together. Jonghyun had his annoying look to Niel and Alifa had her annoying look to Sina. Jonghyun didn’t tell Alifa that they were trapped by the couple but he just told her that Sina was with Niel and it made Alifa mad at her. Sina gave her apology to Alifa as she said that she was not in a good condition at that time so she forgot. Meanwhile, Niel and Changhyun made a serious face towards Jonghyun – dragged him out the canteen to the gymnasium.

“You like Alifa noona, don’t you?!”, Changhyun asked him.

“Tell us!! You like Alifa noona, don’t you?!”, Niel repeated.

“So what if I like her?? So what?!”

“YA!! Just say yes or no!!”, Niel yelled.

“Molla!!”

“CHOI JONGHYUN!!!”

“Aish!! YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES Y.E.S!!! YES I’M FALLING IN LOVE WITH HER!!!”, he blurted that out with a red face. 

"And she is your first lo-"

"YES!!! YES!!!!!", Changhyun and Niel laughed hard after hearing Jonghyun's answer.
