THE CONFESSIONS (II)

Byunghun and Yoori arrived at the cottage, holding hands, made the entire people there screamed like crazy, except for Chanhee who just watched them in painful look. Yoomi who noticed that made her way to Chanhee and comforted him. Minsoo who saw that once again felt jealous. He saw the way Yoomi looked at Chanhee was different as the way she looked at him. It was more caring for Chanhee. He felt hurt inside. But then he forced another smile as they still celebrated the birth of Byunghun- Yoori’s couple.

Byunghun and Minsoo were in one room while Niel was in one room with Chanhee and Changhyun in one room with Jonghyun. The girls were in one room, they still made a fun of Yoori who just broke her promise for not having a boyfriend until graduate and the one who “help” her broke her promise was Lee Byunghun, the player. They made some noises that could be heard by the boys as their laughed were so loud. Byunghun smiled everytime he heard Yoori shouted at her friends. Minsoo would smile too everytime he heard Yoomi’s giggling voice. Niel also smiled widely as he heard Sina made a fun of Yoori. Chanhee silently went out from his room.

“Aish, those noonas!! I can’t sleep!!”

“Ya!! Isn’t it cute to hear those voices?!”

“Stop it, Yoo Changhyun!! I want to sleep!!”

“Ck! Arasseo! Just put your headphones if you want to sleep!”

They were finally fallen asleep peacefully except for one person. He sat on the veranda, feeling the pain in his heart. He made a wrong step for stopping his ways to get closer to his crush and now his bestfriend has won her heart.

Yoomi woke up and had an urgent to go to the bathroom. When she finished, she looked that the veranda’s light was on. She was sneaking out to see who was there. She saw Chanhee there. Her heart softens and sat beside him, made him surprise a bit.

“Couldn’t sleep?!” 

“Aigoo!! You scared me, Yoomi!!”

“Sorry. Hehehe.. Still thinking about Yoori?!”

“Hmm…”

“Oh, C’mon Chanhee!! Don’t be stressed out like this!! Maybe Yoori is just not the right person for you. There are still a bunch of girls who like you. You know, you are handsome!! Any girls would fall for your charm!! So don’t over-think about it!! Move on!! Give your blessing to Byunghun and Yoori!! Be a gentleman!!”

“I know but it hurts!!”, Chanhee was burst into tears. “If you see your bestfriend got the man you love, it doesn’t hurt you?! Tell me!!”

Yoomi stayed silent as she didn’t know how to answer it because she might be like him if she sees her friend got the man she loves. 2 minutes of silent surrounded them. Chanhee’s tears kept flowing down and Yoomi wiped it. Chanhee looked at her. There was a slight feel for Yoomi in Chanhee’s heart.

“Stop crying or I will cry too”

Chanhee made his way closer to Yoomi’s face slowly. There was an urgent feeling for Chanhee to kiss Yoomi. Someone was watching them behind a curtain in one of the rooms. He was mad.

“STOP!! Don’t kiss me!!”, Yoomi said as she turned her head to the other way. “I know your feeling is hurt now but sorry, I don’t want to be a replacement in a time like this. Clear your mind first!! Go to sleep!!”, Yoomi stood up, ready to go back to her room.

“You have someone in your heart already?!”

“Yes”

“Minsoo??”

“I don’t know. Now go to sleep!! Goodnight!!”

Yoomi walked to her room while crying. She didn’t even know why she cried. Maybe she felt confuse with Chanhee’s question. Is it for Minsoo or for Chanhee, she wasn’t sure since her heart would always beat faster around them. But the weirdest thing was why she didn’t get hurt when Chanhee told her that he liked Yoori.

 Minsoo who heard all of that, also had a mixed feelings. He heard Yoomi already has someone in her heart and he hoped it is him. Byunghun also secretly heard their conversation, still laid on the bed.  

“You should be careful”

“I know”

“Chanhee doesn’t have a feel for Yoomi. He loves Yoori. Make your moves quickly, Minsoo”

“I’ll try”

Next morning, Sina and Yoori woke up early to make breakfast. Niel watched them from the living from – his eyes locked on Sina. Changhyun came to help them while Jonghyun was with Minsoo, jogged. Byunghun also helped Sina and his girlfriend preparing the breakfast. Chanhee was still sleeping while Yoomi just woke up.

“Niel hyung!! Here come, help us!! You are the only one who has nothing to do!!”, Changhyun gave a sign to Niel so that he could be closer to Sina. Byunghun and Yoori looked at each other then eyed Changhyun, asking for an explanation of his expression just now.

“Here….. I’ll tell you later, love-birds!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!”, Changhyun ran away from Byunghun before he got his hyung’s fist on his head.

Niel helped ONLY Sina in the dining room while Byunghun helped Yoori in the kitchen. Niel made his steps on getting closer to Sina. He actively asked Sina about her, like what is her favorite food, her favorite subject, and many else. Sina was so pure not knowing the motives behind Niel’s questions. Yoori who heard it directly got the answer that Niel likes Sina.

Yoomi who just sat in the veranda, thinking about last night, made an eye contact with Minsoo who just got back from jogging. Minsoo smiled to her and she smiled to him. Minsoo then sat besides her, letting Jonghyun went in first. Minsoo greeted Yoomi awkwardly since he still nervous about Yoomi’s answer last night. Suddenly, Yoomi left Minsoo – made Minsoo shrunk on his chair. Yoomi then back, brought a bottle of water for Minsoo. He smiled widely knowing that she cares for him. They chatted there happily and sometimes did skin-ship, like Minsoo would pinch Yoomi’s cheek or Yoomi wiped Minsoo’s sweat.

“Eiiiiii~ Why I keep seeing love-birds here?!”, Changhyun said as he went in to Chanhee’s room to wake him up and had breakfast.

The whole day they spent on the beach. Niel still actively followed Sina everywhere just to get closer to her. Sina was happy to have Niel with her since her friends were busy with their boys. She played and chatted with Niel all day and that made Niel got crazier about her whenever she showed her playful smile.

Byunghun and Yoori just sat in the beach, chatted as they were in their own world. Byunghun would back-hugged Yoori, kissed her shoulder, sniffed on his love’s sweet fragrance. Yoori would fed Byunghun with fruits they brought and sometimes kissed her boyfriend’s cheek.

Changhyun and Jonghyun surfed while Chanhee just walked here and there in the beach, not knowing what to do there. Minsoo and Yoomi were not joining them in the beach. They were going to the local souvenirs shop. Minsoo bought a pair of beautiful shells necklace with their name written on it without Yoomi knowing it while Yoomi bought a pair of heart keychain without Minsoo knowing it. There, Yoomi finally feel sure for whom her heart belongs.

The 2 days summer holiday in the beach finally came to an end and this was the time for them to get home. They would be busy again doing their bunch of summer home-works. As for Minsoo and Yoomi, they would get busy with the Summer Cup Games. Minsoo would play for the basketball team while Yoomi would play for the volleyball team. Minsoo had made a plan on to confess his feeling to Yoomi during the final events if they could make it. He asked his friends (especially Byunghun) to help him with the preparation. Even Chanhee also helped him.

Minsoo and Yoomi would always cheer each other up so they could have a power or strength to do the games. Even if they didn’t meet personally, they would texted each other or called.

Surprisingly, both of the team always made their win until the final. The women volleyball team from TOP High School won the competition. On next day, the basketball team would play on their final. Minsoo and his friends already made preparation in the indoor gymnasium and the last thing he had to do was just invited Yoomi to the game. Byunghun told Yoori to take Yoomi sit in the front seat.

The day had come. Yoomi watched Minsoo played with awe since he looked so amusing with his skills. This was the first time Yoomi saw this side of Minsoo. Her heart fell for him deeper. Unfortunately, TOP High School was lost in the final for Men Basketball Team. But Minsoo would still do his confession.

The athletes were done receiving the medals and the trophy when suddenly the lights turned down. The place became a mess with some shrieking but then, there was an LED Placard with Yoomi’s name written on it. One by one the LED Placard revealed until made a sentences, “Yoomi, be my girl please?!”. All of the people there made an AWWWW sounds. Then suddenly the lights were back on, revealing a man who already stood in front of Yoomi while offering his hand. Yoomi’s heart just beat faster than before after seeing Minsoo’s face in front of her.

He held a microphone, said, “I only laid my eyes on this girl in front of me since the start. She made my heart stopped beating when she looked into my eyes. I don’t like her. I love her. So, I want to ask this girl if she accepts my feeling or not. Miss, may I have your answer?!”

Yoomi had the same expression with Yoori when she was asked out by Byunghun. Blank. Not opening her mouth to say anything. She feels embarrassed yet happy to hear Minsoo’s confession. She suddenly stood up then walked to Minsoo.

She whispered, “You made me embarrassed enough, Mr. Bang. Thank you and I love you, too. Please take care of me, my lovely boyfriend”. She smirked and then walked out from the gymnasium, left the audiences and Minsoo there hanging.

“What did she say?!”

“Did she turn him down?!”

“I couldn’t hear anything!! Why she left him there?!”

Those words could be heard around the gymnasium. Minsoo was freezing there, still shocked with what Yoomi just said, the fact that he was so freaking happy with the answer from his beloved one. He trembled while holding the microphone and said, “She………. Accepted my feeling”

“PARK YOOMI ACCEPTED MY FEELING!!!!!”

The crowd then cheered when hearing those words. Niel and Changhyun who held the placard got hyper by jumping here and there while hugging. Yoori and Byunghun looked each other – Byunghun back-hugged her. Jonghyun just scoffed while holding the placard – smirking. Chanhee just gave his bitter smile as he walked outside the gymnasium – Sina eyed him, felt pity for him. His eyes met Yoomi’s but then Yoomi turned her head.

“Congratulations!”

“Thanks! But you should say that to Byunghun and Yoori. You haven’t said that to them”

“YOO—“

“Congratulations, Minsoo!”

“Thank you!”

Chanhee walked away from them – leaving them with an awkward atmosphere. Minsoo and Yoomi sure that he would be okay since the one he liked was not Yoomi. Byunghun and Yoori joined them outside. Minsoo had linked his fingers to Yoomi’s. Niel, Changhyun and Sina joined them and being the noisiest one, Changhyun and Niel kept saying that Minsoo should buy them a meal. Jonghyun joined them late and said congratulation to his hyung.

“I will text Chanhee to join us”, Yoomi said, made the others shocked.
